These were first commissioned to match two little girls in a wedding line. It's a custom pattern, but now I have the ability to replicate it. The photos don't really do them justice. The bodice and skirt are from a heavy silk. The skirt is overlaid with a shimmery ivory organdy. The sashes are from a shiny black satin. Stunning in person.

Nursery Rhyme Ensemble
For my youngest daughter's birthday party, she found the cutest idea in "Addy's Craft Book" for a hobby horse. I didn't have the time or resources to make full-sized ones, but I thought a doll-sized one would be fun. I made a few extra for the party so kids could have thier choice. The extras I paired with these darling jumper sets with animal prints. Makes me think they could have walked right out of a nursery rhyme book. :)
Hula Girl!
Hawaii, here I come! I have always wanted to visit the 50th state, but have yet to fulfill that dream. For my daughter's 10th birthday party this year, we celebrated with a "Molly and Emily" event. Hawaii gained its public popularity in the 40's, we found out. She and her friends strung leis from artificial flowers and made grass skirt from green ribbon. This felt version is a little more durable though, and the swimsuit is cute all on its own.
